Bon Soir, mes amis!
Good evening my friends! I am a Francophile, lover of French language. I continue to express regret for not proceeding with my French studies. Well, not to disappoint, I am NOT down on myself. I know, and I hope you do too, that I can return to that at any time. It is the same with any area of your life: you can craft an improvement plan and start again. It is a matter of decision. As Valentine's Day approaches I am moved to begin my love affair with Toastmasters again. I remember the first meeting I attended; I felt I'd found my home. A friendly and supportive space where you are always encouraged with tips that could make you, "just, that much better." You are never criticized. Learning new words, speaking on a variety of topics and learning how to speak within an allotted time are all great preparatory exercises that build skills that make an impact upon anyone who engages you in conversation or invited you to make a comment. I add my love of Toastmasters to my list of loves that include my husband, children, and words. I hope this Valentine's Day observance is rich with love, gratitude and joy. Be thankful for who you are, where you are and appreciate the love you receive. Bye for now.
